The Lord Sees All Things (Proverbs 15:3)
Proverbs 15:3, The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Have you ever tried to hide from anyone? Were you successful? Well, one thing is certain - we can never hide from God! He knows everything! We acknowledge this fact, yet often continue in our sins. We may even attempt to cover our sins, putting on a saintly face at church while we live like the devil during the week. My friends, we cannot fool God. The God who created and made all things is not only omnipotent, He is omnipresent. One of the great and far reaching truths of the Christian life is that God is Omnipresent. In other words, He is everywhere at the same time. This has both a convicting and encouraging side to it. These following Scriptures mention the omnipresence of God (Psalm 139:1-12; II Chronicles 16:9; Jeremiah 16:17; 23:24; Job 31:4; 34:21; Matthew 28:20; Zechariah 4:10; Hebrews 4:13). We many times think of a child who is trying to steal a cookie out of the cookie jar, who looks left, and then right, thinking no one sees him. This would be the negative side to this great truth. But even if his parent doesn’t see him, God does! The truth is, God always sees everything we do. Nothing is hidden from Him. We would be best to take it by faith and be careful how we live, knowing HE knows all and sees all. For as the Bible says, “…be sure, your sin will find you out(Numbers 32:23)”. And He has not changed His mind regarding sin. God hates sin too much and loves us too much to allow us to get away with secret sin. As Christians we must never lose sight of the fact that God sees and knows everything that we do and think. No matter how carefully we may hide from others, nothing is hidden from His sight. Hebrews 4:13 says, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” God knows what we are doing and what we desire to do. Nothing is hidden from God. He knows all and sees all. But there is also an encouraging side to this. The Lord sees us also when we are struggling with discouragement or a difficult trial in life. He is there when we are in pain, whether physical or emotional. He is there when we feel like we are lonely or feel like failures. He is there when we cry out to Him for help… and He hears! We can take heart as believers! The Lord will never leave us nor forsake us. Not only that, but He will go through life with us, as the Good Shepherd that He is. No wonder the Bible says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me(Hebrews 13:5-6)”. What do we have? We have Almighty God as our Saviour and Shepherd. He is also our source of contentment. This is truly worth thinking about and rejoicing over! The Lord sees, knows, and walks with us every day. I’m glad He sees all things! God knows if you are in the right or if you are wrong, even if you are uncertain. He knows the awkwardness of your situation when you have made a difficult decision and few people support you. Trust that God knows enough about you to lead you in the right direction. Trust that He loves you enough to convict you when you are going astray. Finally, trust that He cares enough to stand by your side through it all. Prayer: Father, You know my heart. You focus on me and know every detail of my life. Search me right now. Cleanse me and free me from anything that displeases You. Not only do You see me, but You also value me. Thank You that I can never lose Your love. Help me to have a more intimate relationship with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Please Share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com
