Our Total Dependence on Almighty God (Revelation 19:6)
Revelation 19:6, And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the LORD God omnipotent reigneth. When we're committed to carrying out God's will for our lives we should expect to go through seasons of adversity. Our Father wants us to trust Him completely. God is omnipotent —He is all powerful. He is omniscient —He knows everything. He is omnipresent—He is able to be in many different places at the same time. Our Father is in complete control of every situation. Our Father is more than sufficient to bring each of His children through any problem we will face. We must not allow our problems to seem bigger than God. Too many of us magnify the problems in our lives when we should be exalting Almighty God and trusting completely in Him. Sometimes our Father allows our problems to get to the point where we must turn to Him. He wants each of His children to trust totally in Him. Whenever a situation looks hopeless we should draw nigh unto the Lord and call upon Him. Psalm 91:2, I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Many times, we will be faced with problems that seem to be absolutely impossible to solve. When every door seems to be closed and there doesn't seem to be any way out, we must realize that God can bring us through if we keep our faith in Him and refuse to give up. Matthew 19:26, But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. God's ways are much higher than our ways. We must not limit Him. We don't have to fight every battle by ourselves. He is with us every hour of every day. He wants to help us. II Chronicles 32:8, With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. Too many of us want to give up because we're trying to fight battles our Father doesn't want us to fight. Many times we do our best to solve a problem, but nothing we do seems to work. We must not give up. We should persevere because we trust God to fight for us. II Chronicles 20:15, And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. PRAYER: Father, I can't see any way out of this problem. However, I know You can see many solutions to this problem. I trust completely in You. I know You will bring me safely through. I will not give up because my faith in You is strong and unwavering. As You see me through this trail, may You allow others to see You deliver me that they may learn from You. In Jesus name, AMEN! Sights Set on the Saviour (Matthew 6:34)
Matthew 6:34, Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Our Father wants us to be calm and confident because we have had the faith to appropriate His strength on a daily basis. We'll always rest securely in the Lord if we follow these instructions continually. The future belongs to God. Our Father doesn't want us to be concerned with the future. He wants us to trust Him to take care of everything today. Jesus said, Matthew 6:34, Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. When we're tempted to be worried and anxious, we should meditate continually on God's promises. If we do this, our Father's promises will lift us up and encourage us. Psalm 94:19, In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. If we focus continually upon the problems we face these problems will seem to be much worse than they actually are. Our Father wants us to do exactly the opposite. He wants us to focus continually on the promises in His Word. If we focus constantly upon God's promises we'll be so close to our Father that the problems we face won't be able to pull us down. Our Father wants us to focus continually on Him and not on our problems. Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. This passage of Scripture promises that God will guard us and keep us in perfect and constant peace. Our Father has promised to constantly give us His wonderful peace if we will do what He tells us to do. This promise is conditional. God will guard us and keep us in perfect and constant peace if we do our part. Our part is to filter our thoughts through God. We must resist the temptation to focus on our problems. If we saturate ourselves continually in the Word of God, we'll be able to keep our character under God's power. Our faith will be strong. We'll be able to lean on God and place all of our hope and our confidence in Him. Psalm 25:15, Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. We panic when we know we can't solve a problem and we don't deeply believe the Lord will solve the problem for us. If we focus continually on the Lord, we won't be shaken by the problems we face. We can't allow our problems to distract us from focusing constantly on Jesus Christ. Hebrews 12:2, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus is our Leader. He is the Source of our faith. Our faith should be anchored upon Him. Jesus is the Finisher. If we focus continually on Him, and if we trust totally in Him, Jesus will bring us safely through the problems we face. PRAYER: Lord, I know that You don’t want me to live consumed with worry. You want me to live life guarded by Your peace. Please engulf and guard my heart with it. Remind me, Father, that peace is not the absence of problems in my life but the calm assurance that what You’re doing is best. You have never failed me, and You will never fail me—my confidence is in You. I pray this in Jesus’ name! Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. When we are going through trials it is of great comfort to know that nothing comes into our lives without first passing through the hands of our Heavenly Father. If we are to rise above our circumstances then we need to look at our circumstances from God's point of view. Fervent prayer and continual studying the Scriptures will help you learn how to do this. What does this mean to you? Below are five things: 1. God made plans for you before the world began. He has plans for you now. You are not a mistake. You are purposed for greatness (John 10:10; Ephesians 2:10). Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Not only does our Lord offer eternal life, He offers a fullness of life in the meantime. The Christian life surpasses anything the world can offer. 2. God's plans for you are bigger and better than your plans for yourself (Ephesians 3:20). Think of your greatest aspiration and then acknowledge the fact that God's desire for you is much bigger than anything you've ever imagined for yourself. 3. Remain faithful over what you have been given charge over. Even if it seems like no one is noticing, God is. He is paying attention to what you do and how you do it. He will remember, recognize, and reward you. 4. Never give up. Your life may seem dull, ordinary and common, but we serve a God who can turn your life around in an instant. Keep your hopes up in the midst of dark days when we don’t understand what is going on. Remain in faith daily. Trust God every step of the way. Just keep having hope in the Lord no matter how dark it looks. 5. God can turn your life around. One swing from God can take you from fearful to a mighty man of valor (Gideon), from a barren man to a father of nations (Abraham), from a fisherman to a fisher of men (Peter), from an extremist to an evangelist (Paul), and from a shepherd boy to a king (David). Serve God faithfully and become the man/woman God has called you to be! Prayer: Father in Heaven I know You love me and it amazes me that You made plans for me before the foundations of the world. Thank You Father for caring for me. I know the thoughts and plans You have for me are for Your glory and for my good. Whatever I may face today, I can expect that You are working for good in all of it. So I’m going to step forward in faith, trusting You in all things and seeking to cooperate fully with Your plans for me. I know I can’t imagine all the good You have planned for my life, but I also know it’s all coming in Jesus’ name, so I can say, amen! Matthew 5:7, Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 1. God’s mercy should compel believers to practice mercy. The Beatitudes give mercy as a continuing attitude and action of the redeemed. Matthew 5:7, Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. In the Beatitudes, Christ is teaching the attitudes that are within those who are truly part of the kingdom of God. With this specific attitude of mercy, Jesus gives a mutual promise. He says mercy will be given to those who have shown mercy. Those who practice mercy in their daily lives: forgiving others, giving to the poor, etc., will always receive mercy from God. But those who do not show mercy, God will show His justice. Matthew 6:15, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Certainly, this should be a warning to us. If we withhold mercy, God will withhold mercy from us—He will not forgive us. But even worse than withholding mercy, He will judge us for not being merciful as He is. Matthew 18:33-35, Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Understanding that this is a characteristic of God should cause us to practice the discipline of being merciful. By practicing mercy, we will look more like our Father who is great in mercy, and it also is the doorway to receiving tremendous blessings in our lives. 2. God’s mercy should compel believers to love mercy. Micah 6:8, He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah says we must not only show mercy but love it. It is very possible for our acts of kindness and forgiveness toward others to have the wrong motive or simply to be done out of obligation. I Peter 4:9, Use hospitality one to another without grudging. God not only commands our actions but he commands our hearts. He commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to love him with all our heart, mind, and soul. God has called for us to love showing mercy because he loves showing mercy. This is a wonderful characteristic of God that we must strive to show every day to those God has placed around us. God’s mercy must also continually drive us to the feet of God in prayer to ask for mercy on us, our communities, our nations, and all those around us. Thank you, Lord, that you are a God of mercy. Thank you, Lord, that you don’t keep a record of sins, for who could stand your wrath, Psalm 130:3, If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? Questions to Consider: In what ways do we see God’s mercy reflected throughout the Scripture? In what ways is God calling us to demonstrate His mercy to the church and those around us? Points to Ponder: Pray that God would be great in mercy to your nation for its sins Psalm 51:1. Pray a prayer of confession for specific sins and ask for God to bring revival. PRAYER: Lord, thank You for having mercy towards me. By all rights I should be eternally separated from Your holiness and kindness. Cultivate within me, a heart that displays mercy and forgiveness. In Jesus' name. Amen. If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com Merciful God (Nahum 1:7) – PART 2
Nahum 1:7, The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. President Calvin Coolidge was awakened one morning in his hotel room to find a burglar going through his pockets. Coolidge spoke up, asking the burglar not to take his watch chain because it contained an engraved charm very precious to him. Coolidge then engaged the thief in quiet conversation and learned he was a college student who had no money to pay his hotel bill or buy a ticket back to campus. Coolidge counted $32 out of his wallet declared it to be a loan, and advised the young man to leave the way he had come so as to avoid the Secret Service! Although this young man never earned, nor deserved, mercy Coolidge showed this young man mercy rather than justice. Surprisingly, the loan was paid back. God declares and demonstrates His goodness to His children. Nahum described the mercy and goodness of God. He is good! He is a refuge for help in the day of trouble. Furthermore, God knows those who trust in Him. He knows His own. The Lord knoweth them that are his (II Timothy 2:19). He has promised to bless those who trust in Him (Psalms 2:12; 34:78; 40:4; 84:12). Those promises remain to this day. Three traits which comfort Christians in turbulent times: 1.His Mercy is Pure (The Lord is good) This verse declares the goodness and mercy of the Lord. Although God’s mercy is something we are not deserving of, we should be very grateful for it. Only the heart of a divine Saviour can love us at the level we receive. 2.His Mercy is Preserving (a strong hold in the day of trouble;) God is a help in trouble, not just in the good days, but also in the days of trouble. Many things and people can help us on good days, but when trouble and calamity comes, their help ceases and is not adequate. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1). It is the Lord Himself, His presence, that will shelter and protect the person who places his faith in the Lord. No matter the trouble (whether a terrifying trial, seductive temptation, or simple problem) the Lord is good and He cares for those who trust in Him. The Lord will shelter, protect and deliver the believer into the very presence of God Himself. 3.His Mercy is Personal (he knoweth them that trust in him) Believers will not face the vengeance of God because the Lord knows those who trust Him. The word knows suggests a close, personal relationship, a deep, intense, loving relationship. The Lord knows those whose faith and hope are in Him. He knows them because true believers walk with the Lord, fellowshipping, sharing and talking with Him. They live righteously, obeying His Holy Word and commandments. The Lord and His dear people have a close bond, a very personal relationship. Therefore, when His people face trouble, whether mild or terrifying, the Lord is a refuge or stronghold for them. Prayer, Father in Heaven, use me as a sanctified vessel, to pour out mercy and love without measure on other people. Father, we live in a world where there are so many hurting people. Help me to stretch out a willing arm of comfort when I see other people hurting or in pain. May Your Holy Spirit empower me to bless and help all those whom I come in contact. In Jesus name, Amen! Proverbs 28:13, "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." The Bible teaches us that God is a God of mercy. Mercy by definition means “compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one's power.” This has the idea of God’s goodness toward those in misery and distress. Throughout the Bible, we see that the character of God is merciful. He delights in forgiving people and being merciful to those who don’t deserve it. How should God being merciful affect us? 1. God’s mercy should compel believers to seek God’s forgiveness for their sins. I John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This verse is abounding with mercy. Confession of sins implies acknowledgment and repentance. As we, therefore, come to God and acknowledge our sin with a repentant spirit He is faithful and just (righteous) to forgive our sins. John is touching upon day-to-day forgiveness which interrupts our fellowship with God. It is seeking to restore strained fellowship. Furthermore, this confession grants cleansing from all unrighteousness. There is no sin too great which God will not forgive. He desires to give mercy to sinners. Many saints walk around with condemnation about something they did, or did not do, in the past. This is because they don’t truly have an understanding of God’s great mercy. For that reason, they instead listen to and accept the condemnation of their flesh and the devil. Some have stopped going to church, some have stopped praying and reading their Bibles. They feel too guilty. Jesus took the penalty for our failures and our sins so that we could receive mercy. If we truly have a revelation of what Christ has done for us, we will run to the throne room of God constantly to receive grace and mercy in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). 2. God’s mercy should compel believers to pray for mercy over others. If we understand God’s mercy, it should cause us to seek and plead with Him for mercy over others. At the cross Jesus prayed, “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...” (Luke 23:34). He asked for mercy towards His persecutors. The Lord’s Prayer says, “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” as it ushers us to seek forgiveness for not only our sins, but others also (Matthew 6:12). Do you ever ask for mercy over the sins of others? This is the same thing we saw the prophet Amos do for the nation of Israel (Amos 7:1-6). It is the same thing Moses did as he constantly asked God to forgive the nation of Israel for their sins (Exodus 32:9-14). It is the same thing Stephen did as he asked for forgiveness over those stoning him (Acts 7:60). It is the same thing that Christ prayed for on the cross. “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). It is the same thing we must constantly do for those around us. God has called us to make intercession for people who are far away from God (I Peter 2:9; I Timothy 2:1-4). Prayer: Lord, in spite of the fact that I don’t deserve Your lovingkindness or tender mercy, thank You for forgiving me of my sins and saving my soul. Help me to utilize these truths for the purpose of ministering to others. Please show me how I can actively and passionately engage in the ministry opportunities You have sovereignly placed around me. Give me eyes to recognize these opportunities, a heart dependent on You, and a desire to come alongside people in my life to help them to grow into a deeper relationship with You. In Jesus' name. Amen. If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com The Reward of the Diligent Worker (Proverbs 12:11)
Proverbs 12:11, "He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding." Jerome Smucker was born in 1858. By the late nineteenth century, he and his wife, Ella, had developed a good business, making apple cider in Orrville, Ohio. During the off-season, Smucker transformed his mill and made apple butter for the local farmers, who supplied their own apples. Jerome also made his own apple butter using a recipe developed by his family. Everyone in the family helped in the business. The apple butter was first sold door-to-door for twenty-five cents per half-gallon crock. By 1900, word of the apple butter had spread, and Smucker began selling the crocks to local grocery stores. The apple butter business became a major part of Smucker's production, and by 1920 the company had added a line of jams and jellies. Smucker's quality quickly became known, and soon the enterprise was the largest independent producer of preserves in the country. Jerome had four children, and one of them, Willard, took over the reins of the company when Jerome died in 1948. Willard's son, Paul, was named CEO in 1970. Under the family leadership, the company continued to prosper. It introduced new ways of shipping fruit in steel drums rather than the older wooden barrels. It also became the first preserves maker to use essence recovery, a technique whereby fruit essence is captured during cooking and then returned before bottling. Although the Smuckers still make apple butter, their most popular products today are strawberry preserves and grape jelly. Today, Smucker's is one of the most recognized names in the jelly industry. Our society does not value work as it once did. There are many government programs providing funding for those who are unwilling to labor. (This is different than providing help for those who cannot help themselves.) This produces a negative incentive. When there is no connection between work and reward, it is not hard to understand why people regard work as something to be avoided if at all possible. Yet those who refuse to do what they are able to do cheat themselves of the satisfaction and accomplishment that comes from diligent labor. Rather than drifting along with the culture, God’s people should be shining examples as workers. Whether the task is enjoyable or not, or whether it pays as much as we think it should or not, work is part of God’s plan for our lives, and it is ultimately not for our human boss that we work. Paul wrote, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24). Prayer: Lord, thank You for the work You’ve given me to do and for the opportunity to provide for my family. Help me to embrace the dignity of my work. I want to work hard on everything for Your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen. Numbers 14:1-3, And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? “We’re claiming the entire land, it’s ours!” This should have prompted singing, shouting and rejoicing. We’re going to take the land God has promised us. Remember the plagues, the Red Sea, Mt. Sinai, the manna and much more. He has never failed us before. According to Numbers 14:1-3, they weren’t. Why? They were surrounded by complainers and doubters. This was not just a few people, but the entire congregation. We see in Numbers 14:3-4, they even entertained the idea of selecting another leader to take them back to Egypt. They were planning a mutiny against Moses. In effect, they were saying, “We’re going back to Egypt. We are better off as slaves in Egypt. God will not give us the victory here.” This type of thinking is totally contrary to their amazing experiences with God. Why were they thinking this way? They had forgotten about God’s provisions. The pillar of cloud by day, the pillar of fire by night, the dividing and crossing of the Red Sea, manna every day, etc. God had miraculously brought the Children of Israel out of Canaan and promised them a fruitful land. Yet when the Israelites saw some obstacles, they wished they were back in slavery in Egypt. This sounds absurd to us, but do we ever have a similar response? Don’t desire to go back to your former ways; have faith to move on to the more abundant blessings the Lord has for you. I have never trusted God and regretted it. Yes, at times, the challenges have been huge. I can remember times when I have chosen doubt and missed the incredible opportunities to prove the faithfulness of God. I remember how disappointing I felt afterwards. When a believer is backslidden, they tend to run from God’s purpose for them. When a Christian is carnal, they tend to not think wisely. Despite the promises of God, and in spite of His miraculous deliverance and provisions, Israel claimed they would rather have died in slavery in Egypt. They went so far as to accuse God of bringing them there to die. They were willing to return to the bondage from which God had graciously delivered them. When times were tough, Israel failed to look to their God. Doubt is a very common human, natural struggle. One of the hardest things about struggling with doubt is overcoming the feeling of your struggle with those feelings of doubt. To overcome doubt, one must confront doubt with truth. People who have trusted the Lord, when faced with doubt, have an impeccable track record. Take God’s Word and trust Him in it. Be fully prepared to fight, but fight honestly with your struggle. Arm yourself to acknowledge it, face it, name it, and then overcome it with truth. God never intends for His people to wander wearily through life, headed nowhere. God has for you a land of milk and honey, a life of victory if you’re willing to follow him in obedience. Rather than forfeiting to your fears and being defeated by doubts; follow your faith in the Lord. PRAYER: Lord, I truly want to defeat the doubt I struggle with in life. Arm me with Scripture that I may defeat the devil with the power of Your Word. In Jesus name, Amen. If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com The Seriousness of Sin (Romans 6:1-2)
Romans 6:1-2, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Weeds are pesky plants that grow out of control and rob nutrients which would be used for other plant life. One of the problems with introducing new species into an ecosystem is that often they will disrupt the ecological balance and take over the area. Several examples of plants that have taken over large areas of the United States are the Dandelion and the Kudzu. Both are relatively contained in their natural habitats but have spread at alarming speeds in their new habitats. Weeds certainly do not need to be cultivated. You don't have to spend time nurturing weeds for them to grow. Shockingly, they stubbornly come up even in the most hostile of areas. Pushing through cracks in cement and pavement, they arise and thrive in the harshest of places. In a garden, the things we want to grow take hard work and care, but the weeds just always seem to come back. Sin is like a weed. It won't just grow where it is planted; it spreads far and wide, taking control and causing problems wherever it goes. A small sin won't stay small, rather, it will grow until it devours us. Sin will take over unless we allow the Word of God to take root in our lives. Sin is deceitful. Regardless of how pleasant it may seem or how trivial some may call it. Sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay. As we look around, sin abounds everywhere. As the days get darker, sin has become widespread and very open. Unfortunately, it is even becoming more and more accepted today. Sin usually doesn't pop up fully grown-it starts small and begins overtaking us little by little. When we see a man of God fall, it is because there were other things that led up to that point. If we aren't careful, we can allow ourselves to become a little dirtier and dirtier until we can't believe how far we have fallen. Just as the Bible declares, sin brings forth death; never life (James 1:14-15)! Just as we would rid weeds in a garden before it consumes the whole area, we should repent and of the sin in our lives that we can produce fruit of the Spirit. We need to take care of the little things in our lives before they take over. If weeds are not controlled, they will take control. Ask God to help you get rid of the weeds in your life today. PRAYER: Father in Heaven, what You say about my sin is true. Sin not only hurts me, but it also destroys my relationships with others, and it separates me from finding my blessings in You. Convict me of the sin that harms me and help me to turn from it. Help me to see the seriousness of my sin so that I might enjoy the goodness and freedom of Your grace. In Jesus name. Amen. Matthew 5:14-16, Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. There is a lot more to the tiny island nation of Fiji than its drinking water. The island has thousands of species of plant and animal life which make it a fascinating place to visit. One of the most captivating things in Fiji is a dark, branch-like coral which grows 1,000 feet below the surface of the water. At this depth, very little sunlight reaches the ocean floor. Somehow the coral is able to sense this light, and as the sun follows its daily East-to-West circuit the coral’s branches follow it. Even a dry piece of this coral will follow the light of a candle. This is nothing short of astonishing. Like light-hungry corals in a sea of darkness, people are desperate for truth. If we bring the Gospel, they will follow the light. God may bring a seeking lost person to the light you bear, but He often acts in reverse by bringing the light to the lost. In other words, He sends light-bearers like you and me to people in need of salvation. As long as there are feet to carry it and lips to proclaim it, the gospel will continue to enlighten the world. The question is, are you willing to carry the light as the Holy Spirit bids you? Every day the Lord allows us opportunities for reaching the lost. The reality is that we don’t even have to go out of our way to find them. Unsaved people are at the coffee shop, department store check-out lines, bank windows, automobile dealerships, telemarketers, grocery stores, your doctor’s office, and even a few doors down the street. Questions to Consider: Can they sense the light in my life? What is preventing me from bringing the light to them? Who can I share the Gospel message with today? Points to Ponder: They will follow, if I will only lead the way. Help me to cast my fears aside, that I may boldly proclaim Your name today. PRAYER: Father, thank You for bringing me to a saving faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. That is the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I confess there have been times that I have been silenced by my fear of rejection. I have wanted it both ways; to be an effective preacher without facing rejection. Bring people into my life that I can tell about Your amazing love. Help me to reflect Your light and love to those You allow me to encounter. In Jesus name, AMEN!
