Do You Reflect God? (II Corinthians 3:18)
II Corinthians 3:18, But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. A woman watched a silversmith as he heated a piece of silver over the fire. He explained that to refine silver he needed to hold it where the flames were the hottest to burn away all impurities. The silversmith said that he had to watch the silver carefully because if it was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman waited patiently observing the silversmith. Then she asked, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" "Oh, that's easy," he answered, "when I see my image reflected in it." Like the silversmith looking into the precious metal, Christ desires to see His image reflected in our lives. The moment God saved us, He formed a new creature, and He expects us to be constantly changing into His image and reflecting that image to others. As we spend time in the Word and in fellowship with our Lord, the Spirit works in us to make us more like Christ. He chips away at the desires and tendencies of the old man and replaces them with the likeness of Christ. The closer we walk with the Lord, the more the Spirit works within us to transform us into the image of Christ. Ephesians 4:24 explains the goal of every Christian: "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Some of the most obvious vices of unbelieving people are in their speech. This includes foul language and inappropriate jokes, or, more commonly, complaining, slander, and criticism. As Christians, however, we must lay it aside. That is the essence of taming the tongue—not that we never say anything at all, but that we are constantly able to encourage and strengthen other people with our words that actually build others up. If we are going to reveal Jesus to a world that so desperately needs to see Him, we must desire to become more like Him. This is an amazing opportunity and very possible if we are willing to submit to Him and gaze upon Him. Somewhere in the beginning of each day, most of us find ourselves looking at our reflection in the mirror. Do we reflect God? How can we? As flawed human beings with selfish tendencies, how can we ever portray God’s flawless image? The answer is simply by following the leading of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). God wants our hearts and lives to be mirrors that reflect His glory and grace. If we, as followers of Christ, are truly abiding by His Word, then we will reflect His character. The Holy Spirit will shine through us if we allow God into our lives. The figure of a mirror is used to express the change that comes to the believer from Christ. Since we have been transformed by His power into His image. His glory is reflected in us and through us from glory to glory. This astounding transformation within us is accomplished by the Spirit of the Lord. Questions to Consider: Do you reflect God's righteousness and holiness in your daily life? Can others see Christ's image in what you say and do? Points to Ponder: Allow God to change and mold your life so you can reflect His image more clearly. This is humbling that we have the opportunity to reflect the image of our Saviour and Creator. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know Your desire for me is to be like You. I desire to be the mirror You want me to be. I ask You to take control of my life. Help me to reflect You so that others can be drawn to Christ Your Son. I want to be like Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen. If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com

The Writing Is On The Wall (Daniel 5:25-28)
Daniel 5:25-28, And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. Most of us have either used or heard the expression “the writing is on the wall”. The expression 'the writing is on the wall' is used whenever an inevitable result or imminent danger has become apparent. While many have used this saying, some have no idea where it comes from. It comes from the Book of Daniel found in the Bible, God’s Word. Have you ever tried to tell someone that what they are doing is wrong? It is not easy, especially when it is someone in authority over you. Daniel interprets the writing on the wall. It was a message of impending doom. Daniel told the king the truth with boldness and courage. God was patient and longsuffering with this king, yet the king refused to worship the LORD. MENE. Means "to number." God had numbered the duration of the days of Belshazzar's kingdom and was about to bring it to an end. Belshazzar's number was up! At that very moment the Persians were entering the city. Babylon was finished, it was all done. TEKEL. Means "to weigh." The word "tekel" indicates the dearth or deficit of the king. The king had been evaluated by God, weighed in a balance and found wanting. UPHARSIN. This is from a combination of two words. U means "to divide" and the word pharsin which means "the Persians." It indicates the division and destruction of Babylon. The kingdom was to be broken up or divided and given to the Medes and Persians. Persia is represented in the image of Daniel 2 by the silver chest and arms. What then did God mean when He told Belshazzar he had been "weighed in the balances, and art found wanting"? The answer is really very simple. Belshazzar had neglected the knowledge he had received. He knew about his grandfather Nebuchadnezzar's faith in Daniel's God following his years of living like an animal. Belshazzar rejected that truth and refused to believe in the one true God. God had weighed Belshazzar in the balances and examined him thoroughly. This examination found Belshazzar to be deficient in his moral character, depraved in his sensual living, and deplorable in his idolatrous practices. God knows everything and will evaluate every life with 100% accuracy (Proverbs 5:21). This king could not hide any of his sin from God and now he was fully exposed. We must remember as Christians that all of our works we have done since we have been saved will be evaluated (I Corinthians 3:13-14). The accuracy of prophecy shows the divine and infallible nature of the Word of God. Every believer needs to be serious about serving God and doing it with all their heart. All of us have been "weighed in the balances, and art found wanting." The apostle Paul made this point very clear in his letter to the Romans. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). We've all missed the mark in terms of measuring up to God's perfect standard. The Lord Jesus Christ was the exception. Jesus is sinless (I Peter 2:22; I John 3:5; II Corinthians 5:21). He was the God-man. God was His heavenly Father and Mary His earthly mother. Being without sin, He became " The Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. " (John 1:29). He sacrificed His life on the cross to pay for our sins and to provide eternal life to all who receive Him as personal Saviour (John 1:12; Romans 6:23). Prayer, Father in Heaven, thank You for being patient with me when I chose not to prioritize You. You put up with my mistakes while the whole time passionately seeing that I become more like Christ. Help me to be more patient and longsuffering with others. In Jesus name, Amen. Psalm 91:11-13, For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. We are told in Hebrews 1:14, that angels are ministering spirits for God's people. The ministry of guardian angels comes into view. God sends forth His ministering spirits to be agents of providential protection for those in the center of God’s will. It is in God's ways that protection comes. This is the stipulation that Satan left out (Luke 4:10-11) when he tried to seduce Christ by appealing to Him to jump off the pinnacle of the Temple. Jumping off the Temple was not "thy ways," and it was only in "thy ways" that the angels' protection was promised. Satan can quote Scripture, but he always leaves out important stipulations for blessings. That’s right! The devil loves distorting doctrine and tangling the truth with errors. Watch out for Satan's twisting of Scripture. Satan is crafty and he uses God's powerful Word out of context to deceive us. Remember, God's Word will not contradict itself. Satan quoted Psalm 91:11-12 of this psalm during Christ's temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4, Mark 1, Luke 4). Of course, he quoted these verses out of context in order to tempt the Lord Jesus. Notice he did not quote Psalm 91:13, which predicted his own doom. God commands His angels to watch over and care for us. We are divinely protected until the Lord deems fit to remove our protection. God protected missionary David Brainard who ministered to the Susquehanna Indians. One day, David sat down beside a stream to rest as the evening shadows began to creep across the sky. He watched some beavers build a dam across the stream, but other eyes were watching him. A party of warriors, sent out to kill Brainard, were spying on him and biding their time. These men drew near as the paleface missionary was on his knees talking to the Lord. As David prayed, the Indians saw a rattlesnake glide along him and lift its ugly head to strike, its fork tongue flickering near his face. Brainard was deep in prayer and totally unaware of the rattlesnake. Without apparent reason, the rattler glided away and disappeared in the bushes. The Indian warriors said, "The Great Spirit is with him," and they too departed. The next morning, when Brainard entered the Indian settlement, the whole tribe came out to meet him and gave him a prophet's welcome. God took care of His man in this situation. Later on in his life, Brainard was called home to glory when God was finished with him. David Brainard was a mighty prayer warrior for the Lord. His testimony is very powerful and his influenced still lives on today. Unfortunately, Brainard lived only 29 years, but what a life he lived! Though this portion of the Bible is written thousands of years ago, the written words still holds true to us today. People everywhere need a sense of security. True hope and security are found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our ultimate protection comes from God. There is no better place in this world than in the presence of God. As Christians, we shall never be afraid because we have God looking after us. PRAYER: Lord, Thank You for Your supernatural protection over me. In Jesus' name. Amen. If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com The Priority of Prayer (Philippians 4:6-7)
Philippians 4:6-7, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The word careful has the sense of ‘anxious’ or ‘worried.’ The thought is ‘don’t be worried about things.’ Rather than worrying about a matter, take it to the Lord in prayer and He will give peace of heart in the matter. How often we worry when we could have the peace of God within. Whatever we are facing, or whatever we need, we should pray about it. God’s children never have an excuse to worry. The word prayer as addressed to God; means to ask. It refers to the communion with God. It is the principle of directing our heart and mind toward heaven. The word supplication has more to do with ‘seeking,’ ‘asking,’ or ‘entreating.’ After having addressed God, we are to make the request to Him. The word requests has to do with the actual petition or need. In every case of prayer, it should always be seasoned with thanksgiving. Notice: Rather than worrying about a problem, we are to pray about it by addressing God in praise and worship. Ask His approval. Make specific requests and do all of the above with thanksgiving. Paul is not referring to peace with God stated in Romans 5:1. He is touching upon the peace of God which surpasses all our understanding. It cannot be easily described, but it is very real. As we, by faith, take our problems and concerns to the throne of grace, He has promised to “keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” The word keep has the idea to ‘guard’ or ‘protect.’ Rather than worrying, God’s Word directs us to take the problem to the Lord and His peace will guard our minds. There is an infinite quantity of God’s peace readily available if only we would take our burdens to the Lord in prayer. Paul enjoyed the intimate relationship with God both as a Father and Friend. Regardless of how much believers know about the Bible, or its doctrinal truths, they must pray if they are to grow and be of service to God. Praying should be as natural for a disciple of Jesus Christ as talking to one's earthly father. Probably the best analogy of the importance of prayer is that of breathing. Prayer should be as natural to the disciple of Jesus Christ as breathing is to the human body, for prayer is the believer’s spiritual breath. The reason so many believers are always spiritually tired and weary is they have been holding their spiritual breath. NOTICE: The Christian who says, "I simply can't find time for prayer," is like the person who says, "I just can't find time to breathe." As a result, the disciple who does not pray regularly will spiritually suffocate. God always answers our prayers. It is very important to remember that sometimes God says "yes," sometimes He says "no," sometimes He says "wait," and sometimes He answers with even much more than what we asked originally. One of the great tragedies of modern day Christianity is that we simply do not pray as we should. The Lord has placed all of the power and resources of Heaven at our disposal to do His work, “yet ye [we] have not, because ye [we] ask not” (James 4:2). Prayer is not an empty ritual, nor is it a religious exercise. It is how a child of God goes to the throne of grace based on the relationship He has freely given us to seek His help, which He has promised to give. Though there are times when a quick prayer is all that is needed (think of Peter sinking beneath the water), in most cases the serious issues we face will require sustained (continual), fervent (passionate) and serious (important) prayer. PRAYER: Lord, I humbly ask You to graciously restore within me the spirit of supplication and intercession. Forgive me for ignoring this important work, and grant me a heart that desires to pray. I’ve just been struggling with fear and doubt that has troubled the peace I have from You. I am casting these things Your way right now. I’m naming them and assigning them under Your care. I’m choosing not to worry about them anymore because You will deal with them under the authority of Jesus’ name, Amen If this post in any way, has blessed you, please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com Lord, Deliver Me from Distractions (Colossians 3:1-2)
Colossians 3:1-2, If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. In the summer of 1996 several thoroughbred racehorses in Kentucky developed foul nasal odors and bloody noses followed by infections in their nostrils. When veterinarians examined the horses, to their shock they found small egg-shaped sponges deep in the horses' nasal passages. Where did the sponges come from? Authorities determined that someone wanting to fix races had tampered with the horses, inserting the sponges to interfere with the horses' breathing, cut down their oxygen intake, and slow them down. Ten instances of such "sponging" were reported within a nine-month period, and the FBI was called in to investigate. Like sponges in a thoroughbred's nostrils, sins and distractions weaken a Christian. They distract us and take away from what God wants us to be and do. Distractions take our eyes off those things that really matter. We have no idea what hangs in the balance of our preparedness to focus through the distractions and serve the Lord. Remember…in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Since the fall of man, people have had trouble staying focused. The world we live in today is in an age of unprecedented distraction. Since you’re already reading this on some electronic device, I don’t need to elaborate. There will always be distractions and opportunities to turn away from what we are supposed to be doing. One of the devil’s most effective tactics is not to get us to sin outright. Instead, he gets us to turn aside from what is truly important and focus on things of little importance. If we are not careful, we can find that we have succeeded to stay busy without getting anything accomplished. Jesus never lost sight of the pivotal purpose for which He came into the world. Every day of His life was spent on things that truly counted. This is the pattern that we should be following day by day. Focus leads to success. When we stay focused on what is important, we can accomplish great things for God. Where we focus our minds and hearts today counts forever. The very essence of what we believe to be true about the world hangs on where we direct our attention. One of the important and practical issues in the Christian life is where and how we set our minds. Regardless of how hard it may seem, you really can control your thoughts. To put it in terms of Colossians 3:2, we set our minds either on “things that are above” or “things that are on earth.” Setting our minds does not mean we only ever think of God and heaven, but it does mean that as we engage in our earthly callings such as our family, at work, in the world — we don’t mentally turn our backs on Him. All of us set our minds on something and you will set it somewhere — or if you leave it alone, it will go somewhere. Questions to Consider: What is distracting you from being focused on the Lord? If there was one change you made to your daily routine or thought life that could help your eyes stay fixed on Jesus, what would it be? Points to Ponder: Don’t let good things keep you from the best things God has for you. When you are tempted to give up, remind yourself that your labour is not in vain in the LORD. Prayer: Father, I confess I’ve allowed myself to be distracted, and I don’t want to be anymore. Please forgive me, give me a clear sense of Your calling on my life. Help me to stay focused and attentive on serving You. Give me the strength and self-control I need to fix my eyes on You, so I can learn what You want me to learn and be who You want me to be. You are worthy of my full attention. I want to hear Your voice. Whatever it takes, Lord, help me to pursue only what You call me to do, and deliver me from distractions. In Jesus’ name, amen. II Timothy 2:25-26, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. It is crucial that we do our best to be on guard against temptations and sinful attractions that we may be confronted with day by day. We need to understand that Satan does set traps for us just like a sea lion sets a trap for the sea gull. The sea lion is probably the gawkiest animal in the world. He likes to lounge in the sun all day, and when he does move, he is very lazy and uncoordinated. It has often been questioned how this animal succeeds to secure his favorite food, wild sea fowl. Sea gulls are so wild that it is difficult even for man to get within a gunshot of one. The seal seems to realize that it would be a waste of time to attempt to crawl upon the gulls as they rest upon the water and catch them unawares. So, he watches until the gulls are soaring slowly through the air close to the waves. Then the seal dives into the sea and swims underneath the water for some distance from the point at which he dived, and allows merely the tip of his great nose to appear above the water. Remaining in this position, he gives his enormous body a rotary motion so that his nose describes a circle on the surface of the ocean. He does this so skillfully that to the gull, his nose looks like a water bug at play. This catches the gull's eye, and it at once, darts down with the speed of an arrow, aiming straight for the little dot. The seal sees it coming and sinks a few inches, and as the gull strikes the water with tremendous force, the seal's jaws close upward and the gull disappears. 1. CHRISTIAN Everyday Satan baits our path, not revealing what is at its end. Be careful what you are doing, where you are going, and the company you keep. By the grace of God, let the Lord win the battle over your will. The devil is most afraid of a person God can use. He knows the power of one life that can be used by God. Therefore, he sets his snare, which can be envy, sensual pleasure, pride, etc. He knows our weaknesses and sets his snare accordingly. 2. CHURCH Within the church, this is a believer whose emotions the devil has manipulated until the person becomes the source of strife, discord, and subversion in the church, all the while thinking that he is doing the will of God. This is a deceived believer, captured by the enemy and now working for the devil to disrupt the local church! Anyone who is in opposition to God’s work, whether they know it or not, is ensnared in a demonic deception and is doing the devil’s work. We minister to them in gentleness, in the hope they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 3. CLASSROOM We are in a great battle for the minds of young people today. Today, for the most part in classrooms, rather than being taught, students are being indoctrinated. The battle is not going to be won with bullets or ballots, but with the Bible. The solution is and has always been the Bible. 4. COMMUNITY If we are to be people God can use, we must gently instruct those who oppose us, praying God will help them acknowledge the truth. Our goal should never be to embarrass or prove someone wrong, but to be used of God to gently bring people to repentance. This means we treat them respectfully and do not argue or talk down to them. Instead of antagonizing them, we should lovingly and humbly lead them to the truth of God's Word. PRAYER: Lord, give me the wisdom to walk wisely in the wicked world. Help me to recognize Satan’s strategy that I will not become a victim he uses, but a vessel that will honor You. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN! If this post has blessed you in any way please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com Our Faithful God (II Thessalonians 3:3)
II Thessalonians 3:3, But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. In II Thessalonians 3:3 of our text, Paul says, “…the Lord is faithful…” That was what the people in Thessalonica needed to hear, and it is the what you and I need to hear today. These thoughts remind us that our God is The Faithful God. I need to be reminded of that fact from time to time. One example of faithfulness is “Old Faithful” in the heart of Yellowstone National Park. It erupts every 60 minutes to 2 hours. Like Old Faithful, our Heavenly Father is faithful. God will be faithful to you because He is fully committed to you. He will keep every promise He has ever made in His Word! The LORD is faithful in many ways, here are two: 1. He is faithful to forgive. I John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Confession simply means being honest with ourselves and with God, and if others are involved, being honest with them too. God is faithful to His promises. 2. He is faithful to forget. Hebrews 8:12, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. What comforting Scriptures! God knows everything, but there are some things He has chosen to forget. God will remember our sins no more. When He buries our sin, He chooses not to dig it up and throw it in our face. When we forgive someone, we bury the sin and we relinquish our right to dig it up and remind the person about it. It is important that we learn to forgive like Jesus and love others like He did. Prayer, Father, I can’t help but think of the hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” as I think about all You have brought me through. It is true that I have faced many trials and temptations. And as I look back, I see how You protected and strengthened me every time. Thank You for Your personal care for me! Help me to remember these things as new trials and temptations present themselves in the future. In Jesus’ name, Amen. If this post has blessed you in any way please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com God’s Got This! (Psalm 34:17-19)
Psalm 34:17–19, “The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” Have you ever felt like nothing in your world was going right? You may have recently experienced the absolute worst day of your life. We all have experienced troubles and know the feeling of having a "crushed spirit." When circumstances are difficult, all too often this affects our attitude towards God and can also inhibit our worship. After all, why should we worship when it seems like life is falling apart at the seams? The Psalmist gives us 3 profound reasons why we can worship the LORD even in the midst of the deepest valleys. 1. We can worship because He hears us. This does not mean He merely hears our cry, but this word implies action. God is so unlike us; when He hears, He acts. And He acts immediately! He does not sit idly by, but intervenes in even the most desperate situation. 2. We can worship in the midst of trials because we know the Lord promises to deliver us. Keep in mind, this word deliver does not mean that He will remove us from our difficulty. Isn’t it true that there are times we cry out to the Lord, but it seems as though our situation doesn’t change? Do not mistake unchanging circumstances for God’s lack of deliverance. His promise to deliver us is made evident in the way He sustains believers even through the hardest times. 3. Finally, when everything goes wrong, we can worship Him because the Lord is close to us. He is not a distant, uninvolved, uninterested God, but a loving Saviour whose arms reach out to us in the midst of our brokenness. Maybe you are in the midst of a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, month, or even year. Maybe you feel that in the midst of a valley, it’s too hard to worship. Take some time today to thank God that He hears our cries, He promises to deliver us, and we can rest assured that He remains close to us even in our darkest moments. “What we do in the crisis always depends on whether we see the difficulties in the light of God, or God in the shadow of the difficulties.” G. Campbell Morgan Have you ever experienced a difficulty that inhibits your worship? Which of these three promises do you need to be reminded of; God hears your cry, God promises to deliver you, or God is near to you? PRAYER: Father, thank You for being a personal God who is involved in my life. Thank You for hearing my cries. I want to worship You in the midst of this difficult time. Help me to see that Your promise to deliver me from trouble is Your promise to see me through till the end. Thank You for being near to me, especially when I am hurting the most. In Jesus’ name, Amen. If this post has blessed you in any way please share this website and its articles with others: www.fellowshipbaptistcarrabelle.com Strength in Unity (Ephesians 4:1-3)
Ephesians 4:1-3, “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Having told us what God expects of us, Paul now moves to tell us how to bring this to pass in our lives. He teaches us in these verses how to walk the worthy walk. He mentions “unity” in Ephesians 4:3, and again in Ephesians 4:13. The word means “agreement.” It simply means that we are to walk together as one in the Lord. Let me just pause here and say that unity is God’s goal for His church. If the Lord is that interested in unity is His church then we should be interested in it as well. The church has no greater testimony than when we are united in Jesus in spite of our differences. By the same rule, there is no greater slander against the cause of Christ than a church family in which the members are at odds with one another. God put in each of us a deep inner need for fellowship. The need for relationship is deeply rooted in all of us. According to Hebrews 10:24-25, Christian fellowship is designed to challenge us to unity and fellowship. God’s plan is that we will exhort one another and encourage one another. God, in His wisdom, didn’t give us alone everything we need to follow Him successfully. Instead, He chose to give us one another. God fills in the gaps (the areas of need) in the church. Have you ever noticed when God adds someone to the church body, He places them in a position that fills the gap that was needed? Let me illustrate: In some ways, men are like redwood trees. Redwoods grow for millennia—some are two thousand years old. They reach as high as 350 feet. Yet their roots generally run only 6-10 feet below the surface. How do these top-heavy monsters stand the tests of storms and high winds? The reason they are able to is that they grow close together (NO GAPS), and they literally intermingle their roots. In essence, they stand strong because they stand together. In today’s world, men often have an independent “go-it-alone” mentality. Yet, like redwoods, we will find it’s easier to stand strong when we “stand together”. Rooted in the Word of God does 4 Things. 1. Roots are unseen: First, the important thing to do is to set aside time in privacy (underground). By doing this we immerse ourselves in God’s Word and grow in Him. 2. Roots are for taking in: Quiet time alone in God’s Word to feed upon it will ensure your spiritual growth. 3. Roots are for storage: As you daily study God’s Word, you’ll find a vast, deep reservoir of Divine hope and strength forming for the rough times ahead. 4. Roots are for support: A deep-rooted Bible study will help you to stand firm against the pressures of life. The routine care for your roots through exposure to God’s Word will cultivate you into a remarkable Christian of endurance.
Prayer, Father in Heaven, I am so thankful that You desired to have a personal relationship with me. I know that it was only possible through the shed blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I desire to have a deeper relationship with You. I understand that the closer I walk with You the stronger my relationship with You and with others will be, Amen.
